CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

Various co-curricular activities like vocal and instrumental music, dance, yoga, gymnastics, table tennis, dramatics, art and craft are taken care of in the school. The children have from time to time proved their excellence in all these activities.

SPORTS

Team work, co-operation and a true sporting spirit which is essential to help children succeed in life is inculcated through various sporting activities. This department takes care of games Yoga, Aerobics, Judo and Gymnastics. Each handled by separate set of teachers. As needs arise, coaching classes in special domains are also arranged for.

The school field has a basketball, volleyball, lawn tennis and badminton court. The school provides special coaching facility for basket ball, hockey, football, lawn tennis and aerobics, besides yoga and judo are also taught to out students.

The school’s membership of the Yamuna Sports Complex is a further evidence of the enthusiasm and zest with which the department works for the children’s scope for practice and achievements.

ART AND CRAFT

The lovely shades of the rainbow, which is a reminder of the Almighty’s promise of life, is imitated in all shades in our drawing and painting classes. The students are taught plastering, crayon, water colour, fabric colour, poster and oil painting.

On the other hand, the craftsmanship of the students are also given stimulation in its craft classes by a skilled set of teachers.

CRAFT

In craft, paper-machine, mask making, puppet making, clay modeling, and flower arrangement are taught various workshops that are organized.

DANCE AND MUSIC

The cosmic dance and music of heavenly bodies, finds its earthly rhythmic scheme in the school dance and music rooms.

 

The children are taught both folk and classical dance of Indai and their performance have won recognition and appreciation even outside the school.

VOCAL MUSIC

The children are taught devotional and patriotic songs to suit the various occasions.

INSTRUMENTAL

They are taught gitar, banjo, swarmandal, tanpura, flute, Xylophone, bugle, tabla, and congo, according to the children’s interest. The school also has a wonderful choir and orchestra which give brilliant performances.

DRAMA

“This world is a stage where every man must play a part”- Said by Shakespeare. Here the children are helped and trained in the dramatic classes to become better performers in life.

Environment and Photography

Often the mysteries and the beauties of life call for a closer glimpse, only then all its shades can be clearly visible. Besides, its also a need of the world around them, so the school has arrangements for photography and environment classes. These help to create new avenues to be explored in future by the children.

Robotics

Robotics is "A Reprogrammable, multifunctioned manipulator designed to move material, parts, tools, or specialized devices through various programmed motions for performance of variety of tasks". There is a boebot which is to be assembled and programmed by students.
